This short micro lesson is designed for staff across California who serve refugees and other ORR-eligible populations. Staff will learn two practical communication skills they can use immediately to strengthen cultural responsiveness in everyday client interactions: active listening and awareness of nonverbal cues. These simple, respectful habits help reduce misunderstandings, build trust, and create more inclusive, client-centered services.
