Agency Overview

The International Rescue Committee’s Los Angeles office supports refugees, asylees, trafficking survivors and other newcomers with comprehensive services that begin on arrival through self‑sufficiency.

Reception and Placement covers safe housing, food, Medi‑Cal enrollment, urgent health navigation and job placement. Ongoing integration programs offer ESL and citizenship classes, intensive case management, financial coaching, micro‑loans, workforce‑literacy training, Afghan youth mentorship and support for unaccompanied minors.

Accredited immigration staff provide affordable assistance with green cards, naturalization, family reunification, DACA and U/T visas.
