Agency Overview

The Afghan Coalition in Fremont provides services to Afghans in the Bay Area.

Staff conduct client intake, needs assessments, and offer case management including temporary housing placements and rental assistance. They facilitate access to food, clothing, hygiene packs, diapers, laptops, bikes, transit passes, and perform CalFresh enrollment, translation, and referral to healthcare and other social services. 

The agency runs youth programs with after-school tutoring, mentoring, psychoeducation, pro-social and crisis intervention workshops. They lead women’s and men’s support groups, deliver cultural counseling, domestic violence support, immigration intake support with PARS referrals, job fairs, driving lesson coordination, and community events for Afghan newcomers.
