Agency Overview

The African Communities Public Health Coalition (African Coalition) in Southern California delivers culturally tailored services to refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and trafficking survivors from African and Caribbean backgrounds.

Their immigration services include Afrocentric legal aid—covering asylum, naturalization, green card renewals, DACA, and removal defense—delivered at no cost or via pro bono attorneys.

They also offer mental health support, outreach and education on health access and stigma, leadership development training, and community-based case management that addresses basic needs, crisis intervention, and connection to public resources.
