The Newcomers Health Program promotes the health and well-being of refugees, asylees, and other humanitarian immigrants through the connection to healthcare and community support services. The clinic offers the following services:
- Comprehensive Health Screenings
- Medical and Social Services Referrals
- Linkage to Specialty Services and Continuing Health Care
- Medical Interpreting (at Family Health Center)
- Mental Health Assessments

- Monthly Webinar for New Asylees to learn about services and benefits

Eligibility & Referral
Patients who are eligible for a health assessment are recently approved one of these statuses from the U.S. government:
- Asylum
- Refugee
- Special Immigrant Visa (SIV)
- Victim of Trafficking (T-visa)
- Cuban or Haitian Entrant
AND are now living in San Francisco, San Mateo County, or Marin County.

Patients with Special Cases:
If a patient does not have approved asylum status yet, they may still get help connecting to healthcare. Visit Asylum Seeker Health Services (ASHS).
