Agency Overview
Formed in 1978, Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) is a joint powers agency of the City and County of Sacramento to provide employment, training, and support services to the community.
SETA's Refugee Program, funded by the Office of Refugee Settlement (ORR), offers Employment Services to refugees, asylees, federally certified victims of human trafficking, and Special Immigrant Visa holders (SIVs) that reside in Sacramento County. SETA contracts with Refugee Service Providers located strategically throughout Sacramento County to provide Employment Services (ES) including Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL), as needed based on assessment.
With the help of these services, refugees are assisted in building their pre-employment, job search, and English language skills in order to attain economic self-sufficiency.
